Privacy statement
This page explains what information Mosken’s Blog (www.mosken.observer) handles when you visit, read or participate, and how you can manage that information. This is a personal site for creative work and sharing. It does not run advertising or sell, rent or exchange visitor data.
At a glance: You do not need to provide personal information to browse this site. When you choose to leave a comment, the site records the name, email address and optional website you supply, for displaying comments and responding to you. You may request their deletion.
1. Information handled by this site

- Administrator sign-in: account information and sign-in cookies.
- Comment avatars: a hash of your email address is sent to Gravatar to find your avatar.
The site does not ask for your legal name, identity documents, payment information or precise location. You can read public content without an account.
2. Comments
Comments are the main way to take part in discussions here. Your submitted name, email address and website are stored with your comment. Your website is shown publicly; your email address is not. It is used to identify you, contact you when necessary and match your comment avatar.
- Comments may require moderation before publication.

- You can request removal of your comments using the contact methods below.
3. Cookies and local storage
The site uses WordPress cookies for comment-form details, administrator sign-in and checking whether cookies are supported. Comment-form cookies can remember your name, email address and website in your browser for approximately one year. These cookies are not used for advertising tracking.
Language preference: Polylang uses the pll_language cookie to remember your last browsed language. On your first visit to the homepage, the site checks your browser’s preferred languages. If neither English nor Chinese matches, it uses English.
You can clear or refuse cookies in your browser settings. Apart from features requiring sign-in, browsing and reading remain available.
4. Third-party services
The site does not run advertising or embed social-platform tracking scripts. Some limited request information is received by the following services:
- Gravatar (Automattic): supplies comment avatars using a hash of the commenter’s email address.
- Google Fonts: the theme loads fonts from Google’s font service, which connects your browser to Google’s servers.
- Creative Commons: licence links refer to creativecommons.org.
These services handle requests according to their own privacy policies, which this site does not control.
5. Use and retention
Information is used to keep the site working and secure, display and answer comments, and investigate faults or unusual access. Personal information is not supplied to third parties except when legally required or necessary to protect the legitimate rights of the site and its visitors.
Comments and their associated information are retained to preserve discussions. When a deletion request is fulfilled, the associated records are removed as well.
6. Your rights
You may request access, correction, export or deletion of information submitted with your comments. Leave a request in the comments or contact me below, identifying the relevant comment. You may also request a copy of the content you submitted.
7. Minors
The site is intended for general readers and does not specifically collect information from minors. Minors should participate in comments with their guardian’s knowledge and consent.
